NC STEP held its annual awards dinner where it named its "No Spit All Star of the Year" from Fayetteville's Jack Britt High School.  Read also about a youth leadership summit of grantees held in Arapahoe that shows how a training event can be effective and also fun. 
 
The Research Triangle Institute (RTI) will facilitate an important meeting this month to learn more about how grantees can do a better job of serving diverse populations.  The information gathered from this work group will be shared with all grantees in months to come.
 
Take some time to revisit the impressive and growing resources of the CDC's Office on Smoking and Health.  And check out the new Red Flag Merchant Education Packet from the NC Alcohol Law Enforcement Division.  It provides everything a retailer needs to understand the laws regulating the sale of tobacco products to minors.  To read more
